In a multi-ethnic and culturally diversified nation like Nigeria where the attainment of national integration most times look arduous, unrealistic and unachievable. Givien her diverse culture, customs and traditions governed by different social norms, the road to national unity and development, a product of national integration tends to be far fetched.
Corps members, if we are to achieve national unity and development, you should not see yourselves as alien in any part of the nation you find yourselves. Rather, as good ambassadors, taking advantage of the scheme as a medium to achieving national integration and of course national unity which is indispensable to achieving national development.
Corps members, you have come from far and near, different background and social settings representing an even distribution of qualified ambassadors of diverse academic fields from different institutions in different regions cutting across the length and breadth of this great nation Nigeria. This of course is not a mistake but a great opportunity to render your selfless service to your fatherland.
Hence, I enjoy you to give your best service and stand a chance of been remembered in the history of the state you are posted to and of course Nigeria at large. To this end, it is important and necessary to put away greed, selfish motive and misconception about any part of the country or state you may find yourselves and promote national integration, the road to achieving national unity and development.
